Vacation Department
Vacation Department
This global site has been developed to provide the public with comprehensive information about the United Nations (UN) vacation process. The United Nations diplomat vacation, as defined by the act adopted in 1993 and amended on July 3, 1996, by the constitutional assembly, states that staff members at duty stations with very difficult living and working conditions may be authorized for a home visit under one specific condition: the request must come from their spouse. Please note that not all vacation requests are approved. If your application for your loved one is declined, do not be discouraged. You are welcome to reapply.
We also want to inform you that the vacation process can be terminated under certain circumstances, such as:
- Delays in fulfilling vacation requirements.
- If you apply for a vacation or invitation for someone, the UN must confirm your identity before proceeding. Failure to confirm your identity, as evidenced by an ID card, passport, driver’s license, or other means, will result in the United Nations Security Council not approving the vacation.
- Delay in payment or procrastination can also lead to vacation cancellation. To avoid this, inform the UN vacation department of any delay in payment and provide a concrete date for payment to extend the processing timeline.
The UN will respond in the language used in your correspondence. We advise applicants to use their native language for clarity and better understanding.
Note: Not all emails will appear in your inbox. Some may be directed to your spam folder due to network traffic. Always check your spam folder when expecting communications from the United Nations.
Method of Vacation
Spouses, fiancés, or trusted partners wishing to apply for a vacation must complete the online application form and await an email response from the United Nations Vacation Department. For assistance and guidelines, contact us via email: [info@un-vacations.com].
Emails
Due to high email traffic, the vacation department offers two application methods: online and via the above provided email. Feel free to use either.
Important Information
To ensure the successful vacation of our employees and their safe return to their loved ones, the UN arranges flights and health insurance. However, any vacation or leave not mutually agreed upon between the UN and our officials will not be covered by the UN. Payments for vacation certificates must be made to the UN account offices by the applicant, through our designated agent in the chosen vacation office. For payment instructions or to specify the beneficiary, please contact us directly at [info@un-vacations.com].
In the past, when vacations were free, we unfortunately lost officials who left the camp under false pretenses, leading to incidents with ISIS. The amendment of the policy has greatly reduced such occurrences. Thus, we take all necessary precautions to protect our officials' lives.
Vacation Charges
Vacation charges vary depending on the branch of the United Nations to which you apply, as the organization is global and each branch has its own pricing. More information will be provided upon submitting a formal vacation request to the vacation department via [info@un-vacations.com].
Vacation Benefits
Our annual vacation benefits range from $30,000 to $500,000, depending on the official's monthly salary and the terms of their contract with the United Nations. These benefits are awarded to the beneficiary and applicant after issuing the vacation certificate and confirming the official's departure.
Vacation Duration
The vacation certificate is valid for 2 to 4 months, depending on the staff member's preference, but will not exceed 4 months.
Security Information
The United Nations Vacation process is highly confidential. All related information must be kept secret to ensure the safety of our officials and prevent their capture by terrorists. The information should only be shared between the United Nations Vacation Department, the official taking the vacation, and their trusted spouse.
Why is this Site Relevant?
This site serves a critical role in the wake of a significant cyberattack on the UN's database, which resulted in the theft of crucial information and identities of our esteemed employees. In response, the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) has partnered with the United Nations. This collaboration aims to combat crime and foster safer, more caring communities worldwide. One of our major initiatives is the National Citizens’ Crime Prevention Campaign (NCCPC). This campaign is a collaborative effort of various national, state, and federal organizations. It works alongside businesses, civic groups, individuals, and law enforcement to raise awareness about crime prevention and encourage proactive measures globally. This comprehensive approach includes public service advertisements, publications, training sessions, technical assistance, and program development. The site plays a vital role in this endeavor by offering a secure and reliable platform for the dissemination of accurate information regarding the UN's vacation policies and procedures, thereby safeguarding the integrity of our operations and the security of our personnel.
THANKS FOR YOUR CO-OPERATION.
